Terry has been a good coach to me. To be honest, I initially found the process frustrating. However, I slowly realised that he wasn’t going to give me answers and tell me what I should do. Rather he makes me reflect, prioritise and think. And when you’re run off your feet managing a busy business, I really benefit from this period of reflection. By not giving you the answers, he helps you develop a framework where you can deal with things better, and also start to help coach people yourself.It’s easy for someone to tell you what to DO, whilst it’s a real skill to help someone recognize WHY they do what they do and help them change.
